Accommodation details
The Bickford Arms has stood at Brandis Corner near Holsworthy since the 17th century, first as a coaching inn and now as a completely rebuilt traditional pub/restaurant offering bed and breakfast. Reduced to a shell by a disastrous fire in 2003, The Bickford Arms has been lovingly restored by its present owners, Rowena and Nigel, into a stunning mix of period features and modern day comfort.
Set in the heart of Devon's magnificent Ruby Country, The Bickford Arms is only a short drive from Dartmoor and the fabulous beaches of North Devon and North Cornwall. Its is both a well-respected community put and a superb venue for private functions and weddings. If you want to stop over for a short break you'll find the accommodation first class. The pub is AA rates four diamonds, so you can be sure that your stay will be comfortable and your welcome will be warm.
We continue our policy of preparing all food fresh inour own kitchen. Everything is sourced from local suppliers and we take great care in maintaining high standards of quality. We serve excellent Real Ales, Draft Lagers, and Beers and a Wine List to suit most tastes.
Accommodation
There are five spacious letting rooms, all centrally heated, with bath and shower en-suite, and beautifully furnished with modern character furniture in traditional style. Every room has a TV, and a tea and coffee maker. Each room is named after a principal family on the Bickford family tree wihich dates beack to the 1300s. Warm, comfortable and relaxing, our rooms are ideal for an overnight stay or longer weekend break.
Cadiho Suite - Our best room! Double bed, luxurious spa bath and balcony.
Dabernon Suite - Very versatile - this suite can be used as a twin or double-bedded room.
Battyn Suite - The family room - a double bed, single bed and additional single available if needed.
Arscott Suite - This is a delightfully spacious and airy room with a double bed.
Coham Suite - Pronounced 'coom' - this is a twin bedded room very popular with business guests.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms which are modern, stylish and fitted with heated towel rails, bath and shower.
