Sunny Pooh Corner caravan site is situated in Devon, a 10 min walk from the picturesque village of Ashwater

The village has a shop/post office, a school, several places of worship and a pub called The Village Inn. 

The Inn is positioned alongside the green, which is central to the village and boasts views of both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor. Caravanners dining in the Inn can choose to eat in the restaurant, which offers a varied menu including several special fish dishes and fresh Devonshire ingredients or have a pub meal in the bar.

Alongside the good selection of wines, the traditional Devon pub offers 5 real ales mostly from the local area like ‘Exmoor Ale’.

The small historic Devon market town of Holsworthy is just 6 miles away from the Sunny Pooh Corner caravan site, with a weekly Pannier market held in the town square – it’s well worth visiting. For those who are looking for a more active pastime there is an indoor swimming pool, sports hall, golf course and bowling green. Or you may choose to visit Roadford Lake - just a 5 min drive from the Sunny Pooh Corner caravan site - which offers sailing, brown trout fishing, Devon Cream teas and lovely walks around the lake plus a host of seasonal activities throughout the year.

A 10 min drive in the opposite direction brings you to the ‘hilltop’ town of Launceston, once the ancient capital and gateway to Cornwall. On the top of the hill is the Mediterranean style castle built by the 1st Norman and Earl of Cornwall in the 12th century. The surrounding countryside can be easily admired from the Launceston Steam Railway running to New Mills during the tourist season.

Just 15 miles from the Sunny Pooh Corner caravan site is the beautiful rugged North Devon Coast, which has some of the most beautiful beaches and picturesque villages in the West Country; plus some of the best surfing in the United Kingdom.

The Site

The site offers 1 acre of peace and tranquillity with lovely views of the surrounding countryside and is bathed in sunshine most of the day.

Travelling along the path to the site you will pass on one side a paddock with chickens running free and on the other side several friendly sheep or horses may greet you.

As this is an Adult (16+) only site you should be able to relax and enjoy undisturbed the sounds of the countryside.

Dogs are welcome on the site but we must insist that they are kept on a leash at all time especially with having animals so close by.
