Staddon Barns is a newly converted detached barn comprising two self-catering holiday units in a picturesque setting in the heart of the Ruby Country in Devon.Close to the Devon/Cornwall border, we are located on the outskirts of the traditional market town of Holsworthy and are within 10 miles of the North Cornish coastline.
Staddon Barns is the perfect setting for a rural getaway. Located down a private lane amongst neighbouring farms and paddocks, the property has far reaching views over open countryside to Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and beyond.

Despite it's rural setting, the property is only a stone's throw from Holsworthy which offers many amenities including shops, Waitrose supermarket, pubs, swimming pool and golf course. The North Cornish coastline is only a 20 minute drive and offers many beaches ideal for surfers, sunbathers and those wishing to enjoy the fantastic clifftop walks offering spectacular views across the Atlantic coastline. There are also many local attractions to suit all tastes including Dartmoor, Roadford Lake, the Tarka Trail, family theme parks and numerous National Trust properties and gardens.
Staddon Barns offer a perfect retreat for those wishing to enjoy the peace, beauty and tranquility of the open countryside, yet being close to the coast and having easy access to all the attractions Devon & Cornwall have to offer.

The accommodation:

Tastefully converted the cottages retain much character including exposed beams, oak lintels and stonework downstairs, solid English oak flooring throughout the ground floor and solid oak ledge doors with handforged wrought iron fittings. The cottages are spacious and are furnished and equipped to a high standard with all the modern conveniences you would expect including 32" widescreen digital TV with Freeview, WiFi internet access and HiFi system with IPod dock.

POST HOUSE - sleeps 4 + travel cot

The accommodation offers two bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin with orthopaedic mattresses and co-ordinated soft furnishings. The bathroom has electric shower over bath with glass showerscreen and WC. Downstairs there is a spacious feature lounge with exposed stonework, leather sofas and solid oak flooring. The farmhouse style kitchen/diner features solid wooden worktop with butler sink and exposed stonework. Fully equipped with integrated washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric fan oven with touch control ceramic hob and free-standing fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a table with seating for four. There is an enclosed private garden to the front and side of the property with patio, wooden garden furniture, BBQ and lawn area. To the rear of the property there is ample parking and shared access to a field suitable for games and playing with another field opposite the barn where you can visit the local animals.
Bed linen, towels, electricity and central heating included. 1 well-behaved dog welcome. Regret no smoking. Highchair, travel cot and stairgates can be provided on request and there is a selection of toys, DVDs, games and books for young children.

THE CROFT - sleeps 6 + travel cot

The Croft is a larger unit similiar to Post House but with an additional ground floor master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is also a large landing offering guests a separate area away from the lounge ideally suited for reading or serving as a separate play area for children.
