Accommodation details

Orchard Cottage is a bright contemporary barn conversion set in the grounds of our house in the middle of the beautiful rolling Devon countryside.

Near to Exmoor, the Two Moors Way and the other wonderful attractions North Devon has to offer. North Devon’s amazing beaches are only 40 minutes drive away.

 

The Ground Floor

There is a large, open plan kitchen/dining room with oak beams & a natural travertine limestone floor. The dining area has a large oak table and the modern fully equipped kitchen has a stainless steel fridge/freezer, an electric oven & hob, a microwave oven a dishwasher and a washing/drying machine.

Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom which has an en suite bathroom with separate shower & bath. The ground floor is completely accessible for wheelchair users.

The cottage has underfloor heating on the ground floor via a "ground source" heat pump.

The Upper Floor

The upper floor is accessed via an open tread staircase which has child gates at either end.

This leads into the vaulted, oak beamed, living room which has a beech wood floor and in addition to the radiators there is a log burner if needed in the colder months. There are complimentary logs for the log burner.

The two comfortable sofas and chair are complimented by atmospheric lighting.

There is a flat panel Freeview TV and DVD player. DVDs may be borrowed free from our collection. There is also a CD player/radio with iPod docking.

The upstairs double bedroom with vaulted ceiling and a beech floor has the benefit of an adjoining shower room with WC.

Outside

We have four acres of fields for you to roam in & to exercise your dogs. There is a large pond which attracts wildlife and it is well stocked with carp & tench for you to fish in season. Although the pond is in a fenced-off field you should take care with young children.

We have a small heated pool which visitors are welcome to use in the summer months.

Garden furniture & a BBQ are provided.
