Accommodation details

Nestling in 17 acres of tranquil woodland a short drive from Bude & Widemouth Bay, Hedley Wood is the ideal location for your North Devon/Cornwall holiday experience whether you camp, caravan or prefer the home-comforts of a static van.
Hedley Wood is a family-run park, catering for young & old alike with adventure playgrounds, pets corner, nature walks and our popular licensed Woodman Bar where you can enjoy a drink and home-cooked meals from our extensive menu.
Our park has over 100 10amp electric hook-ups and offers numerous other facilities such as free showers, shop, laundrette, bottled gas, public telephones, dog kennelling and caravan storage.
We have level pitches available in sheltered and open areas or, if preferred, slightly sloping elevated positions with a sea view. 
Hedley Wood caters for all sizes of caravans, tents and motorhomes or you can hire one of our 4/6 or 6/8 berth static vans - the choice is yours.

Facilities

The Pets Corner, opposite the Complex, includes an aviary, and has a growing number of animals and birds including ducks, chickens, chipmunks, Bert & Alfie the goats, Arthur & Martha the pigs and of course our family pets Zeke & Ella the dogs. 

The site shop is situated at the front of the Complex, selling the most popular grocery items, dairy produce, bottled gases, camping accessories and those odds & ends you sometimes forget to bring with you. We also offer a freezer-pack service and battery-charging facility. Please note: In our experience when there are limited customers on site and as our shop and reception has a basic stock, rather than being open for limited set hours, we feel that is advantageous to our customers and ourselves to have our staff, who are on site 24/7, available to serve customers as and when requested, so please do not hesitate to ask.

Two toilet blocks are provided, located in Willow Bay and below the Complex, with FREE showers & hot water, washing-up and hair-drying facilities. 

The Laundrette is sited at the side of the Complex. We provide four washing machines, four tumble driers and an iron with ironing board.

Two play areas are available, one suitable for the older children, and a mini assault course, climbing frame, swing, slides, Wendy house and model train for the younger children to play on located within sight of the Woodman Bar, so you can relax and watch your children play safely.

Dog Walks and Nature Trails covering over a mile prove to be very popular with pet-owners and campers alike.

Two public telephones are available, one located in the bar and one by Reception at the front of the Complex, where you will find a comprehensive range of tourist information leaflets illustrating various activities and places of interest in Devon/Cornwall.

The Woodman Bar

The Woodman Bar is situated within the complex, centrally located on our site. The bar is family licensed upstairs & downstairs with pool tables, darts, large-screen TV, amusements and a superb marine aquarium. Also readily available are bar & restaurant meals, take-aways and Sunday carvery. During the peak season we occasionally have Bingo and quizzes. The Bar is available for private functions. We can provide the catering or you can cater yourself. Note opening hours of the Bar are restricted out of peak season depending on number of site visitors.

Camping & Tourers

We have over 100 electric hook-ups throughout the site; drinking water is available at the taps situated at various locations as are refuse receptacles. We cater for all sizes of caravans and motorhomes. The site shop sells grocery items, dairy produce, camping gas and camping accessories. Please note that the shop has limited opening hours. We also offer a Freezer Pack service and a battery re-charging facility. Breathable groundsheets must be used in awnings to minimise damage to our grass.

Statics

Our caravans are sited in a secluded area away from touring caravans and tents. One car parking space is allocated adjacent to each caravan.

2 Bedroom 4/6 berth caravans.

28'x10' with double bedroom (electric heater) and 1 twin bedded room (can form double) & dining area converting to double.

3 Bedroom 6/8 berth caravans.

32'x10' with double bedroom (electric heater) and 2 twin-bedded rooms (1 can form double) & dining area converting to double.

All caravans have hot & cold water, toilet, shower, gas cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, crockery, cutlery, gas or electric fire and remote-controlled colour tv. Electricity supplied by £1 coin meter & 16A trip switch. Please do not bring appliances which may cause this rating to be exceeded.
