Accommodation details

Cider Cottage was originally the cider-making barn which stands next to the owners sixteenth-century Devon Longhouse. Situated 22 miles west of historical Exeter , just north of Dartmoor and halfway between the North and South coasts with beautiful beaches and coves. On the River Taw, this large, lively farmers' community is set in hilly red-soil farmland. All essential shops, 3 pubs, Bank and Churches within 1 mile.

We are a small farm with approx. 36 acres and have all the traditional animals and birds. We encourage parents and children alike to participate as much as possible. From feeding young lambs/calves to collecting eggs.

There is an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep with several woodland walks by the river and along the Tarka Trail. We invite our guests to meet our farm animals and poultry. Throughout the year there are calves, lambs and piglets. Children are especially welcome to watch eggs hatch in the Spring/Summer.

We now have an all-weather tennis court which is available free to our guests. Please make sure that you have the correct foot-wear.

There is about half a mile of fishing along the Taw River .

The Cottage sleeps 4 persons + baby.

An access statement is available upon request.

Bed linen is provided with duvets and covers.  Towels and tea towels are included but not beach towels. A cot and high-chair are available.

The first basket of logs is free but re-fills will be charged for.

Dogs are welcome at a small charge but they must be kept downstairs, not on furniture and under control at all times as most of our poultry are completely free-range.  An indoor kennel can be provided.

Water is from our own bore-hole.

Eggs, vegetables and fruit available according to season.
